The FAQ

Do you Travel?

I am based in the River Valley area of Arkansas, but I'd be happy to travel based on your needs!
Please contact me for more information.

How long have you been doing this?

While I have loved photography since I was a child, I decided to turn my hobby into my passion in 2012.

How many photos do we get?

Digital photos, perfect for sharing to social media, are included with each large-format printed portrait you order.

How do we get our photos?

We will schedule a time for an in-person showing. At this meeting you will order your prints, gifts, and albums. Once your portraits have been selected and paid for, you will receive a link to download your digital copies.

Do you retouch photos?

Yes! Every photo is meticulously edited to create a piece of art you'll be happy to have in your home.
If something isn't quite right, please let me know. Your happiness is my priority!

Whats your turn around time?

1 to 2 weeks. Depending on how busy the season is, how long your session was, or how many people are in your session. I want to make sure that I have time to create amazing images for you and your family.

How do we book you?

Give me a call! I can't wait to start creating your moment!

Can you help us with planning?

Absolutely! Whether you've had portraits before or this is your first time, I'm here for you! Once you've booked your session with me, we will make time to meet over coffee and plan all the details. I want to create a moment that is special for you, your story, and your journey.

How far out do you book?

I generally like to book ahead of the season. When it's winter, I book for spring; when it's spring, I book for summer. If you'd like to book further out, we can work together to choose a time "block" , then as it draws nearer we can narrow it down to a specific date and time.

How to capture the perfect moment

Have you ever searched the internet, found an affordable photographer, and anticipated the perfect photo session, only to receive the photos and find disappointment that they weren't quite what you expected?

Believe it or not, I've been there!

Below is my secret to helping you get, not only the photos you want, but the photos you deserve! Why am I sharing this? Because I want you to open your gallery and be stunned by the photos within. Am I saying you will never experience disappointment again? No. We are all only human. But my hope is that you will have memories you are happy to share for a lifetime.

Not-so-secret, Secrets:

01.

Purpose

Why do you need a photographer?

Are you bringing a new family member into the world?

Your little is growing too fast and you need to mark the passing of time?

A first birthday is coming, and no one can resist photos of a baby covered in cake?

Is it for a special occasion that you would like to document without stressing over photos yourself?

Whatever the reason may be, it's important to you! Be sure to take time and think about what kind of photos you want. Candids, traditional posing, or a mix of both.

Remember this as you head to Step 2.

02.

Portfolio

I believe this is THE most important step to finding the perfect photographer and being happy with the photos you receive.

Photography is an art. Every photographer has a different vision, a different eye for detail, and thus a different outcome. For instance, I love bright and bold colors. I like to use natural light to find the emotion of the moment. I also don't like to take away from the natural beauty of my subject and surroundings.

My art is not for everyone, and that's ok! That's the way it's supposed to be. You should be able to look through my portfolio, imagine your family in my photos, and be EXCITED to have me capture your moments.

03.

Price

You've looked through multiple portfolios and have found one or two photographers you LOVE. Now the hard part. What will it cost you, and what do you get in return?

This is where the first two steps come in. What does this photographer offer that you can't get elsewhere? Is it their art style? Is it the amount of time they offer for sessions? Are their reviews better than another? There is a lot to consider.

Photographers don't want you to sell the farm for family photos. We put a lot of thought into our pricing and the largest part is trying to decide what our time is worth. While a photo shoot may only take 1 hour, it takes a lot of time to sort through and edit the perfect pictures for you. We also have high quality cameras and editing software to help us achieve high quality product.

We love what we do, and we want you to love it too.

I understand that money can be short these days, but why not have memories to last a lifetime? This is why I offer customized pricing for my clients. When you request a quote I will send you my pricing chart so you can select the best option to fit you and your needs.

04.

Product

And finally, the end product. Last, but definitely not least.

What do you want your end product to be?

Invitations and announcements; scrapbooks and photo books; updates on social media and digital images for relatives; multiple prints of candid photos to freshen up your walls throughout the year; a single high quality print or canvas to adorn your home; there are so many options, each unique to you and your needs. Different photographers offer various options and they all have their challenges. For example: a large gallery takes a lot of time and effort to photograph, edit and put together in a cohesive product; while a single high quality print requires time to plan and create the session, and time to edit all the fine details that become more obvious when it's put into a large print. This is why many photographers offer select products, and it comes down to what you need in the end.
